WhatIWore: I’m either becoming really lazy (most likely) or just a total boss at being basic. At least I stopped myself from wearing a denim jacket again today! After I posted this dress, some of you said you live in the black version, so naturally, I scooped it up too! I’ve done the casz black dress + army jacket many times before but I thought I’d liven  things up with a spotty scarf and bold bag - which reminds me of a yellow crayon!  I thought I could get away with sandals, but it was too chilly for that, so booties win out.

What I Wore | Birthday

WhatIWore: Happy Birthday dear Felix! You’re one!! Yesterday we celebrated with our friends and family at our house and it was a wonderful party! (Photos and details to come!) Outfit wise, I went with a combo I’ve already worn and loved (first here). And if you think I’m the kind of mom that wears something to match the decorations so the pictures will be even more coordinated…you’re right. On Felix, we did a simple onesie with an iron on monkey patch to go with his theme. Believe it or not, he wore that hat the entire party and looked so. freaking. cute. toddling around the house in it. He is the light of our lives. We love you Felix boy!

What I Wore | Sunshine

WhatIWore: Good morning, friends! Hope everyone had a nice weekend! These photos remind me of sunnier days - it’s all rain rain rain here lately. Ever since making my flower crown, I’ve been playing around in my closet for different ways to wear it. While it definitely inspires more of a bohemian sensibility, I thought it would be nice to add it to a more mainstream style outfit too. And you’ll never guess where I got this skirt…

Well, maybe you can…Goodwill! I used to be a big thrift/second hand shopper and it was always a great way to get inspired with pieces that not everyone has (plus easy on the wallet too!) And I KNOW no one else will have this skirt because it’s handmade. It really reminded me of this outfit (which I no longer have, sad face) so for $4.29, it was all mine!

What I Wore | Goldenrod

WhatIWore: The weather in Southern Indiana has been beautiful this week, and we’ve been spending a lot of time outside to enjoy it. Lately that means starting the day walking Adam to work. It’s a fun routine and forces me and Felix to get ready for the day instead of lounging around in jammies until noon the whole day like we did during the winter.  I’m still loving this skirt and playing around with different ways to wear it. I’ll probably do a white tank top and hat the next time around, but I’d love some of your ideas on what could work too. Help me out on facebook!
