WhatIWore: Surprise! Surprise! I’m in another full floral print skirt! This version is a sateen fabric, so it could be on the dressy side, which is why I partnered it with my favorite beat up denim jacket. I toyed with the idea of doing a graphic tee underneath but liked the simplicity of a soft three quarter length sweater instead. Because it was on the chilly side, I opted for booties over sandals or heels.

Where: Final Day of Class

Then | Now: Back in Bloom, March 16, 2015

Monday also marked the final day of my fashion illustration class that I taught at Indiana University. It’s always amazing for me to see how my students grow through the course and how beautiful their final portfolios turn out. I learned a few things from the class too. First - I need to find more time to do creative projects, including illustrations. I miss drawing! Two - I need to keep signing up for classes on my own. Not full semesters, but weekend conferences or hat making classes or cooking classes. I get so inspired in a classroom setting, whether it’s as the student or instructor!

WhatIWore: Spring might be officially around a week away, but the weather right now is just perfect! Sunny and seventy and ideal for a stroller walk to visit papa at work and then downtown for lunch. I bought this skirt over the winter but knew it would work best with bare legs so I was excited it was warm enough today to wear it!  I felt so pretty and ladylike! It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to do a natural waist skirt!

What:
Shades: Karen Walker ‘Super Duper’
Button Up: J.Crew
Skirt: Chicwish
Bracelet: Self Made (DIY here)
Shoes: ShoeDazzleBag:Vera Bradley, gift

Where: Walk, Lunch

I’m really excited to unpack all of my warm weather clothes this week and do a little spring cleaning around the house. It’s spring break at IU so I’m off from teaching this week and want to get a jump on things. Felix is in a great stage where he can sit up alone but not yet crawling, so he gets to help mommy (errr… play in one spot while I work). I actually have a post drafted on how I go about switching out my closet so fingers crossed I can get that up to you guys soon too! Hope you have beautiful weather where ever you are this week too!

What I Wore | Repeatedly

WhatIWore: Here’s what i wore for class on Monday. I’ve been in a pretty steady habit of wearing jeans everyday (errrr… and leggings), so I wanted to do something different with a skirt. Although, it’s like, the only skirt I wear regularly since I had Felix. But that’s something I’m really proud of - I wear my clothes. Repeatedly!

What I Wore | Garden Girl

Pregnancy Outfit, @whatiwore, #25weeks

WhatIWore: Where would a pregnant gal be without the help of her friends? Not only are they great listeners (especially mamas who’ve been through it before), but sharing their maternity wardrobes is so helpful.  This is a dress that came from one such friend (thanks Sonia!) and it really reminds me of a non-maternity version I used to love (not sure if I still have it! Hope so!) Because of the vivid print, I kept everything else pretty simple…

When: May 19, 2014

What:
Shades: Target
Necklace: Jess LC (sorta similar)
Dress: Destination Maternity (hand me down)
Belt: J.Crew Factory (similar)
Shoes: Adrienne Vittadini via DSW

Where: Doctor appointment, studio

Because the dress is pretty sweet (and bold) I went with a gold studded leather belt just to even things out a little. Accessory wise - again, more simplicity - a signature ‘Dream Big’ necklace, big round black sunnies and neutral shoes finish it all off.

Oh! I kept asking around on dating my pregnancy and my friend (who is a doctor) said she always went by the 4 week = month idea. Doctors go by weeks, so that’s what I’m doing too! In that case, I’m nearly 6.5 months pregnant in these photos! Can you believe it?!
