WhatIWore: Here’s what I wore on Sunday for my gym’s Whole 30 potlunch brunch. I’m nearing the end of my thirty day challenege and I’ve definitely seen some great results! Still haven’t stepped on a scale, but my jeans are fitting better (even got into a high waisted pair the other day)! There are a few other things I’ve been doing that I think have helped too…
When: January 25, 2015
What:
Shades: Karen Walker ‘Super Duper’
Sweatshirt: J.Crew Factory (different colorway, size XL remaining)
Backpack: Vera Bradley, gift
Jeans: J.Crew (same style, no rips and tears)
Sneakers: Nike Air Pegasus via J.Crew
On my Wrist: FitBit ‘Charge’
Where: Potluck with my gym friends!
Why: (cont) Namely, counting my steps and drinking more water. Tracking steps via my FitBit has been a fun way to challenge myself and keep track of how busy I’ve been in a day. Last week I was dragging and checked my steps - and was under 700. The previous day I had clocked in 10,000 by the same hour. I’m totally ok with resting when my body needs it, but I knew I needed to just move a little more on that day. I also wear it to bed to get a rough idea of how often I’m waking up or restless with Felix, which is really cool (I get a lot more sleep when I don’t clock watch during the night and just check later). As for water, I picked up a really cool glass water bottle at the beginning of the month and I’ve found I drink way more with a straw than out of a plain cup. Weird huh? But whatever works!
Outfit wise, another very basic mom-on-duty type look. Adam had to work (the distillery he co-founded is opening in a week!) so I had to manage Felix one-on-one and a simple top, jeans and sneakers were perfect. I also brought my Solly baby wrap so I could have both hands free to fill my plate and hold my coffee. Felix was such a good baby and we had a great time. So good, in fact, that I took him to the book store afterwards to stock up on some new magazines and Fashion history books!
