WhatIWore: If you know me at all, you know I appreciate getting a lot of different uses out of everything in my closet. Usually it’s the neutral pieces you see styled in many ways (like my olive green jacket or a favorite pair of jeans), but something like a little printed sundress has a ton of remix potential too! Like this little pink number!

When I bought it, I straight up just got the outfit off the model from Banana Republic. I normally don’t shop like that, but it kind of reminded me of the days I’d help my dad buy my mom Christmas outfits from L.S. Ayers in the Liz Claiborn section. Anyone remember those days? So anyway, I bought the whole outfit and have managed to style both pieces into a lot of fun looks (dress below, jacket here, here and here)

When: May 31, 2017

What:
Shades: Karen Walker Super Duper
Scarf: Target
Jacket: Old Navy
Dress: Banana Republic
Sandals: Rockport (gift from past partnership)

Where: Out! By Myself! (Went and worked on my laptop at a coffee shop)

Also worth mentioning, while I did nurse Bea while wearing this dress, it’s more of a full boob reveal, which I really don’t go for in public. I had 2.5 hours to myself so I wasn’t as concerned with nursing access!

Lastly, looking at these old pics and thinking - I need a summer hat! I really wear the heck out of them each year and I love the crispness of a just blocked fedora. All of my hat making supplies are in storage, but I’m inspired to move them over to the new house and make one!

WhatIWore: Here are photos of a dress I wore the other weekend to go out to breakfast with Felix and Adam and then to lounge around the house. My mother in law gave it to me and on the hanger, I thought it was going to be really loose and drapey. When I tried it on, I really love the fit! It’s flattering but comfortable - the easy kind of summer dress I’m after these days!

When: June Weekend

What:
Hat: Self Made
Shades: Cactus Flower (local boutique)
Dress: gift (from TJMaxx)
Bag: Frye
Sandals: Birkenstocks

WhatIWore: We did something kind of fun this weekend - ice cream before dinner! It was our first time of the season to hit up our favorite little local ice cream place - the Chocolate Moose - and Felix’s first order. He’s got a thing for sprinkles - but he calls them TicTacs! He accidentally got into a pack of real TicTacs a couple months ago and every time we see them at the grocery check out (annoyingly shelved at kid height! ugh!) he just goes berserk. So anyway, the other day I was baking cupcakes for my friends and put some rainbow sprinkles on top and he shouted “TAC TIC!!!” (he says it backwards). Ever since it’s all TicTacs slash sprinkles, all the time. I give him one sprinkle as a treat, which he thinks is very special. Needless to say, our trip to the ice cream stand was a huge hit with our little boy… even though he ended up wearing more of them than eating them!  Read on for details on my new dress and sandals!

When: May 1, 2016

What:
Hat: Stars + Field (self made)
Shades: Target
Dress: gift courtesy of Tucker
Sandals: Birkenstock

Where: The Chocolate Moose!

The forecast says it’ll be chilly this week, so I used our outing to wear a sundress and sandals - both recent additions to my spring wardrobe. The dress was a gift.. I’ve always really liked Tucker prints (first from a Tucker for Target dress I used to wear all the time and then a blouse I bought off of Gilt. Given the chance to add another piece to my closet, especially this pretty print, I said yes! Thanks Gaby and the Tucker team!

I went super casz on the shoes, although this dress looks great with heels for a more dressy look.  I finally picked up a pair of Birks after I saw a cool mom wearing them last weekend. Instead of the traditional double straps I picked a pair with slightly different styling. So far - I love them!

WhatIWore: Here’s a look at what I wore last weekend to celebrate my anniversary with Adam for daytime (see my date night dress here!) I actually wore this both Saturday and Sunday because it was insanely hot and this suited my needs better for what we were up to! I love little dresses like this (from today’s post sponsor Old Navy) because they’re cute solo but transition really well under sweaters, with jackets or boots. I love the colors of this print and plan on wearing it again with a camel colored floopy hat and a pair of boots I snagged on sale!

When: September 5th and 6th, 2015
