What I Wore | Fine and Dandy

WhatIWore: Guys, I’m still crazy about these jeans! This is what I wore yesterday for an early morning work session and then errands around town with the kids. This is definitely on the short list for my most worn outfit combination - it’s so easy and still feels put together. The lighter chambray helps distance it from a cowboy tuxedo or whatever they’re calling denim on denim these days. If you were thinking about ordering these jeans, I still say go for it! At $24 you can’t lose! A note on sizing - I bought both the dark and light styles, both in a 4L (normal size) and the lighter wash did run smaller. These are only online, so I’d suggest getting two pair in different sizes and returning the ones to your local Target that doesn’t fit. Good luck! 

What I Wore | Seventies Mama

WhatIWore: This weekend something awesome happened - a huge wave of inspiration hit me and I’m currently obsessed with all things seventies. A lot of times people go to just bell bottoms or disco when they think of the seventies, but a lot can happen with fashion in a decade. This look is probably more on the tail end - maybe 78 or 79. The vintage skirt actually is from the seventies too!

So here’s something I’m working on these days - being more body positive. I’ll put it out there - I’m not a fan of my nursing bosom and I often feel very self conscious about these ginormous jugs (I went up 3 sizes after having my son). To counter those feelings (which I think all women have regarding some part of their bodies), I’m going to start highlighting something nice with each set of photos.

Today I like the way my legs look with this full skirt and high wedges! Now… you go look in the mirror and say something nice to yourself!

What I Wore | Reality Show

WhatIWore: This outfit is really nothing to write home about, but I’m posting it anyway. Why? Because this kind of dress and sweater combo is my reality. Yea, I wore the dress last week and I like it, so I’m wearing it again! I’ve been a little disenchanted with the blogging world lately with all of it’s perfection. The outfits have become astronimically expensive and disposable. I don’t have the budget or desire to wear things once. Sure, I have a dozen designer pieces I’ve invested in, but I’ll wear the same $25 dress on repeat too. So I guess what I’m saying is that not every post you see on this blog is going to be shopable or groundbreaking but that’s not my goal. It’s just about sharing what I’m wearing as I push my stroller through my sweet little town, teach class or go out on the town. My own little real reality show.
