WhatIWore: So if you stop by and read this blog (or my social media) regularly, you’ll know I’ve had a slight obsessed with cool for the past week or so (or my lack of being cool). Two things: firstly, my students last semester told me that cool isn’t a good descriptive term anymore. The youngins aren’t saying cool. So by saying it constantly in the last week, I lose a lot of points for coolness. Whatever, Generation iPhone! I AM COOL. Secondly, I’ve been really digging my new do and sunglasses and they’ve given me the boost in confidence to just wear whatever the hell I want. I go through phases where I just need a little push to get my self esteem in motion.

Thirdly (a bonus!) I think black concert tee shirts are one of the coolest things. Ever. I would just die if my parents had saved concert shirts from back in the day, although I don’t think they were really the concert going types? There are a lot of cute reproduction versions on the market. Pro tip - search the men’s section (or even kids) versus women’s. See my recs above - all under $13 bucks!!

When: April 18, 2016

What:
Shades: Target
Tee: Paul McCartney Concert (same here)
Skirt: Target, older style (different style, but same vibe)
Sandals: gift courtesy of Rockport

Where: Coffee Shoppin’

Also - Hi Felix! You’re such a big boy now! He’s slept in until 7am the past two mornings in a row and has to very well rested parents. Thanks kiddo! Whenever he sees the camera he makes a little “sshhh shhh” sound and today he wanted to be in my photos so we just went with it. He has very little laundry clean so no judgment on his kooky outfit today. Kids get a free pass for not matching, right? And if you think he looks tall - he is! He’s three feet even and above the 98 percentile!

WhatIWore: We had such a great weekend! Adam took a few days off and on Friday we drove south to Louisville for the day. I knew the weather would be nice, and I wanted to wear this polka dot skirt but wasn’t sure what top to pair with it. I thought a black tee could be cute and then I had the idea to wear a Paul McCartney tee I bought when we saw him in concert with Adam’s parents a few years ago. I love how it works together. Sort of weird but cute too! I kept my shoes simple (flat sandals) and also had a jean jacket for the cooler morning hours.
