What I Wore | Vintage Blue
/WhatIWore: Good morning, everyone! I hope your day is off to a nice start. It’s been tough waking up to the news these days, and I admit, it’s been really heavy on my heart. Writing about outfits just feels so shallow and unimportant. It’s something I’ve thought about a lot over my hiatus these past few weeks. The world feels like a very scary and hateful place to me right now and I’ve been less likely to put time and energy into getting ready or picking out clothes and instead just spending all of my time with my husband and son.
That said, showering is a good thing, and taking care of yourself is important. Yesterday I thought had a babysitter arranged (did not), so I took the time to get ready and put on a nice dress for a little pick me up. Plans (and clothes) changed and I ended up doing more of exactly what we’ve done all summer. Pushing the stroller, playing at the library, to the park park park, getting grass stains, playing in the dirt and quality outdoor time.
If I can put the rest of what I’m feeling into words, I hope I can share soon. In the meantime, I’m sending my love to Orlando, the parents, families and friends of the victims and to the LGBTQ community as a whole. When will this madness end?
