What I Wore | Simon Says
/WhatIWore: So here’s the thing with blogging about your personal style. You want people to keep coming back to your site and you don’t want to bore them with wearing the same thing everyday. But sometimes, you just really really want to put something on repeat. Or maybe your pregnant and your closet has shrunk by 75% while your waist has doubled. I asked you a couple days ago if you want to see the casual, not-so-exciting outfits in addition to what I think is “photo worthy.” Almost everyone screamed “YES!!!!” and a few people said “only if you feel like it” (which I really appreciated! Thanks!). So here’s one of those basic outfits!
When: May 8, 2014
What:
Hat: imogene + willie
Shades: Ted Baker
Necklace: Jess LC
Dress: Target (from a couple years ago)
Bag: Coach
Sneakers: Jack Purcells
Where: BBQ Thursdays, Strawberry Festival downtown
Why: This dress is actually something I bought in two colors on clearance a couple of years ago and it’s one of my favorite maternity styles. I think contouring (vs. hiding) the bump is the way to go for me (at least right now, while I’m so excited for it to show!). Early in my pregnancy I wondered why most dresses came in black, gray and stripe and I’ve finally figured out the stripe part! You get a WAY better view of your baby’s kicks when you’re wearing something with a pattern! I love watching little jabs and kicks (and Adam loves it too!)
Also, I can’t go without say that at the Strawberry Festival I FINALLY got a photo with my favorite Indiana basketball player from the past few years, Will Sheehey. All of my friends had to hear me go on and on about him for the past few years #willsheeheysarms #iubb. It totally made my day!
