Spring Mill Sunday
/Yesterday we took a Sunday morning drive to one of my favorite spots in Southern Indiana - Spring Mill State Park. We often do trail walks in nearby state forests and parks, but this spot is my favorite because of the pioneer village! I really owe this topic a full post (and photos) of it’s own, because as a child I was really obsessed with history, especially the 1800s. Lately Adam and I have been walking episodes of Victorian Farm and Edwardian Farm on YouTube like total nerds and it makes me want to sign up to do a year on a living historical farm. I’m not joking!
Felix just had his two year old well check and I’m not surprised that he’s over three feet tall and in the 95 percentile for height… and already wearing 3T! Or should I say… he’s grown out of his 2T pants. He’s a little in between, but the bigger size works with his cloth diapers well and I anticipate he’ll fit into his larger sizes perfectly before we know it.
Speaking of kids clothes, I recently picked up his long sleeve striped tee shirt ($4) and shoes ($22) on sale at Old Navy, our longtime blog sponsors. (The jeans are also from Old Navy ($12) as a birthday gift from Nana) I have a lot of fun picking out Felix’s clothes and I really love getting them on sale when I know he won’t be able to wear them forever (mama sad face… stop growing up so fast!) In fact, I hardly ever buy something for him that’s not on sale!
Attention Moms (and dads, grandmas, aunts and moms-to-be!): mark your calendars - the Old Navy Baby and Kids Sale starts on Thursday (9/15) and runs for a week. I might even pop back in to pick up some snuggly pieces for baby girl. I keep telling myself I must clean out the craft room (soon to be nursery) before I can buy anything girlie!!
For those of you who have asked, my shirt is new and also from Old Navy!
Special thanks to Old Navy for sponsoring this post, including the gift card I used to purchase these clothes for Felix.
