WhatIWore: With less than a month until our due date (!!!), we’re trying something different this year for the holidays - everyone is coming to us!! We’ll be celebrating with my family one weekend, Adam’s side on another and our friends too - all without leaving town! Luckily everyone is willing to travel!

We’re also hosting in a low key mode. The parents are taking care of food and we’re going simple with everything else. That said, I still want to dress up, just a little bit, when everyone comes over.

I’m also to the point where buying more maternity pieces isn’t especially practical, so I’ve turned towards either accessories or regular size items. Enter my new jacquard jacket and costume jewelry! This is what I plan to wear for one or all of our gatherings.

What:
Jacket: Old Navy via giftcard
Maternity Tee: gift of A Pea in the Pod
Jeans: Jeans: AG ‘Stilt’, (non maternity here
Booties: gift of Rockport from last year
Jewelry (all thanks to an Old Navy gift card): Earrings, Necklace, Leaf Ring, Stone Ring

Where: Hosting Holiday parties at home!

This jacket struck me because it looks so vintage! Lucky me, it was under $40 and from Old Navy (today’s post sponsors - thanks guys!) The remaining sizes are limited online, so check in at your local store too!

Because we will be at home, the pieces I’ve worn underneath are pretty simple - a fitted maternity tee shirt and jeans. I’ll end up in socks or house slippers by the end, but any cute black boot or bootie would complete this outfit.

Finally, while I have the chance, I decided to get some earrings and a longer length necklace (babies are the grabbiest, amirite?). There’s a huge selection in stores, as well as some pieces online here

WhatiWore: Does this dress look familiar? Earlier this spring I wore the pale blue version from Free People and was so excited when the black came back in stock. I’ve worn the blue countless times (most recently, to my Bloomington baby shower) and as my friend Abby put it, there’s a definitely Earth Mother vibe going on. We’re about 5 weeks from our estimated due date and although I can appreciate a few more weeks to prepare, I’m so excited to meet this little baby! Any guesses on whether it will be a boy or a girl?

When: July 29, 2014

What:
Hat: Gift
Shades: Target
Necklace: Jess LC
Dress: Free People
Purse: Coach
Shoes: Vintage

Where: Breakfast Date with my friend Chelsea

Another reason I decided to add the black is because I feel it will get a lot of good wear into the fall with a hat, as I’ve styled it today, or my black ankle boots and a jacket. It’s a non maternity style and honestly, I can’t wait to see what it will look like on a flat(ter) stomach! See more ways to wear on Free People’s page (scroll down!)
