WhatIWore: Yes, I’m smiling in these photos, but it’s time for a little truth telling here: I haven’t been myself much lately. Good news - I’m not alone. Bad news - why are we all so blah? The changing weather, less daily sunlight and stress of the holidays might be on your list. My hair is a rats nest and that bums me out big time. My son has also taken screaming at a pitch that literally gives me a headache. And, all jokes aside, I’m slowly weaning my son (MAAAAAJOOORRR hormone disruption) and I have seasonal affective disorder.  Even the most positive intentions can’t push away the feeling like I got up on the wrong side of the bed.

Why the over share, Jess? Well, feeling crummy can make getting dressed a little lot less fun. These pics are actually my second outfit of the day. On my first try I just felt totally crappy and not cute and told Adam it wasn’t worth it during our normal lighting test shots. I almost cried! What the F?! I know I’ll turn around, but if you find yourself in a similiar situation, you’ve got a friend in me (and a free membership to the Shitty Kitty Committee).

When: November 19, 2015

What
Hat: Stars + Field (code for, I made it, selling similar soon!)
Shades: Karen Walker ‘Super Duper’
Tee: Old Navy
Sweater: Old Navy, gift (last worn here)
Jeans: Tory Burch, gift (waaaaay old)
Booties: LL Bean Signature

This get up actually did cheer me up a smidge because a) I got to hide my hair under a hat I love b) this sweater is cozy c) these jeans are soft.

PS. Not trying to throw a pity party, just wanting to acknowledge what’s going on in my life right now and offer a little solidarity if you’re going through it too.
