What I Wore | Color Me Happy
WhatIWore: This spring, I will hit ten years of taking daily outfit photos. It’s kind of crazy to wrap my head around! It’s my longest continuous hobby, job, relationship (!?!? I’ve known some of you guys that long, right?) It’s kind of a big deal to do something for almost 1/3 of your life! Anyway, I was thinking about how my personal style has changed and evolved during that time. In the early days I leaned heavily onto wearing bright colors, especially when I was feeling a little sad and needed a sartorial pick me up.
Now seems like a good time to bring out the brights then, doesn’t it?! My scarf and hat combo are a new addition to my (admittedly wide) rotation of winter goodies (Old Navy is also today’s post sponsor! Thanks guys!) They’ve got a ton of cute colorful hats, scarves and sweaters out right now and I picked up both of these on sale. The scarf is a double knit - something I’ve always wanted to try making myself (and perhaps will take a swing at later this season) and the hat has the chunky quality I’m really drawn to this season. And this particular shade of periwinkle is one of the most universally flattering colors out there.
I went simple with the rest of my outfit… jeans, a tee and a fleece jacket in a modern cut. It was in the 30s this morning but I’ll warm up enough this afternoon that I’ll probably shed the layers.
