What I Wore | Caped Crusader
WhatIWore: After a nice week hanging out in the woods with family, I’m glad to be back to my normal routine. Although not sure Felix got the memo as I was up with him multiple times last night and then before sunrise this morning. ZzZzzz.
I packed very lightly for our trip and wore Adam’s flannel and maternity jeans almost every day. After a week of woodsy attire (see here and here), I wanted to do a 180 and get properly dressed up this morning. This black printed number is one of my maternity favorites. Like last time, I styled it with over the knee boots, but needed an outer layer for warmth. I grabbed this vintage cape (also worn here) just to see if it would work. I like it!
One trend I wish I could embrace right now are short skirts and matching jackets of the same length. Today’s look is just about as close as I can get for now! J.Crew just put out one such set (this jacket + this skirt!) and it has such an awesome 60s mod vibe. I hope the look continues into spring so I can embrace it after pregnancy! Perhaps I can find a vintage version but if not, I’ll probably stitch one myself?
