Four Fall Favorites

WhatIWore: I’m of the school of thought that great style doesn’t expire after one season. Case in point? These images are all from the fall of 2013 and would still look great now. In fact, I’ll likely attempt maternity versions of all of these outfits! 

One key color for Fall 2016 is olive green. I’ve been seeing it every where - from the classic army green utility jacket to dresses and chinos. I’ve even seen leather goods in this earthy shade! If you’re going to pick just one piece - go with the jacket. It’s part of my core closet and I admit, I have one (errr… three) too many. They look great with preppy, ladylike, trendy or hipster type outfits. An all around winner.

Ready To Repeat | Spring Outfits

WhatIWore: I usually feel so inspired at this point in the season, but this year I’m in a little bit of a rut! Well, maybe not a rut, more like a style pause. While my house is being renovated I’m not motivated to get that dressed up. Sometimes your mind can only be in so many places. 

When I feel like this, I know the best route is to just repeat outfits that I felt good in before. I’ve scrolled through my gallery to get ideas and these were some of my favorites. Basic tees, easy skirts, casual jackets and lighter washed jeans all jumped out to me.  

From a recent closet clean out slash switcharoo, I know that I need to fill in the gaps with some cute tops, relaxed pants and basic jackets. I also have a few sewing projects I’m working on so that should do it for my spring wardrobe. I’m excited to pull those looks together in the near future!

One Sweater | Four Ways

WhatIWore: Besides my trusty pair of jeans, a cream turtleneck sweater has been my number one go to this fall (this is the outfit I wear on repeat these days). Above - four of my favorite other ways to wear this versatile cold weather piece.

WhatIWore: Oxblood. Wine. Maroon. Burgundy. Call it what you will, but this deep dark shade is one of my favorites for fall.
