I bought my first one in 2010 and they’re so versatile in my closet (see 30 ways here). They look awesome with chiffon dresses or easy going over a white tee and jeans on a Friday night. Plus they’re all on sale now instead of January, so you can get a good price and a lot of use this fall and winter. Don’t get me wrong - they’re still a sizable investment piece, but with discounts like these your budget will go further!

It’s hot and humid and normally, the last thing on my mind this time of the summer would be planning my fall wardrobe. That said, I’m really intrigued by sale prices on new arrivals, like what’s offered during the annual Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Last year I splurged on a new handbag (my fringe Frye shoulder style - worn here) and a pair of amazing knee high boots (like in this outfit photo).
Above: Booties I found huge deals on designer brand booties (like my favorites - Rag & Bone and Frye, plus some trend forward surprises from smaller labels.
Above: Over the Knee Boots I already have a pair in black, but I think a gray or even maroon tone could be a great addition to my easy jeans + sweater winter routine. Here are my favorites.
Above: Cool Coats When it comes to fall and winter clothes, you can bet that the more material used, it’s going to be more pricey. Getting a coat on sale before the season starts is a no brainer. Brands like Burberry (which never goes on sale!) are included.
This year while browsing the catalogue, I bookmarked out what’s piqued my interest for fall 2016, including bold shades of red and burgundy, oversized drapey sweaters, denim cute coats, booties and over the knee boots. I’ll be updating links all day, but early access (for Nordstrom Card holderes) starts on the 14th and open to everyone on the 22nd. Prices go up on August 8th. The good stuff sells fast, so if you see it and like it - go for it! Nordstrom has wonderful return policies. Happy Shopping!!!

Denim is always a category where I’m willing to spend a little more for trend forward silhouettes or quality material. I have a feeling these designer brands are going to go quickly!
Below: Red and Burgundy From sweaters and jackets to skirts, dresses and shoes, wine tones are on my radar. I love how a maroon colored shoe can instantly dress up an otherwise neutral outfit.
