Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Most of the time, sales happen after the season as retailers make room for the next delivery. This sale, however, is different because it’s amazing sale prices on upcoming merchandise. Last year I bought a pair of Frye boots on major discount and then wore them a ton all fall and winter long!  Some of these items are mucho $$$$ but also a rare chance to get designer brands on sale (some over $100 off!) 

I’ve gone through the sale and picked out my favorite pieces below. If you’re a Nordstrom card holder, you have early access (and double the points!) until July 16th and then it’s open to everyone!  Prices go up on August 3rd and hot items sell out fast. 

DENIM PICKS: I already have a lot of jeans, but this season I want more high rise (slash ‘mom jeans’) with a flare or wide leg. I also like a classic skinny to wear with knee high boots and big sweaters. 

HANDBAGS: It doesn’t matter how hot it is to debut a new handbag. I’ve had my eye on this maroon Rebecca Minkoff quilted style for a while and I think it’ll be great to wear as a cross body for fall. These other selects are a mix of classic styles (like a wear forever black satchel) and funky colored updates.

COATS and JACKETS: If you’ve been saving like a good little girl all year long, you might be able to splurge on these awesome styles. Warning: They are pricey, but also styles I believe you can wear for 5, 10 or 20 years because of the quality. 

FOOTWEAR: As I mentioned above, last year I bought a pair of Frye booties during this sale and if I remember correctly, they were over a $100 off their normal selling price. It might pain you to keep them in the closet until fall, but once the weather turns chilly, you’ll be so happy to have them.
