Hello from sunny Florida! One thing I always look forward to when we get to warmer temps is getting to wear newly made clothes!! Everything I’ve got on is self made! Let me tell you more about it!

My hat was blocked this week using a combo of a custom crown and a vintage brim. I used straw I had in my stash and finished it with a navy band and button made from second hand materials. You can see a video series on my Instagram that documents the process!

My top is also made from second hand materials. I used a maxi dress I thrifted last summer to sew up McCalls M7977. I had to piece it ever so carefully to get enough yardage but I love it and it was worth the extra effort!!

My shorts are cut from stash denim and the Megan Nielsen Dawn Jean - a pattern I’ve seen a dozen times and absolutely love. I modified it by making my own front patch pockets and wide belt loops.

I have a few other new makes I hope to get photos of and am really getting excited to round out my entirely #memade wardrobe!
